    THE Dream

OMG - beautiful underwater photography! Just can't get enough of it. Yeah and it's study week, can't believe I'm doing stuff like browsing photos. What the hell - they are just too pretty.

Look --- you have to look...

It is THE ultimate dream to have a photo published in the National Geographic. But...I'm not even on that track...I'm in law school...
Never mind, a person can dream hey? Can't wait till I get my Canon EOS400d...

p/s added link to National Geographic - Photography in my links list. Enjoy.

    Beware - long rant ahead

Mean bus drivers!!! Ever met one in Brissy? Not an endangered species I might say.

There's this stop outside my house that says 1/2 Zone. Meaning I can use my 1 zone bus ticket from the city to this stop. Zone 1 to Zone 1, easy.

I get on the 364 bus at stop 150 at Eagle Street, and the bus driver, seeing that I'm slotting a 1 Zone ticket asks me where to, and I say Herston. Then he asks which stop, and blah blah...starts telling me that my stop is not 1/2 Zone but 2 Zone only, meaning I would need a 2 Zone ticket. I tell him it's changed and he starts arguing - "well I've been driving for 32 years I should know if it's changed"
So yeah I just get on the bus and ignore him.

Once we're at the stop before my 1/2 Zone stop, what does he do? He stops the bus specially for me and says I should get out. Yeah, over my dead body. I paid for my ticket like everyone else and I know where I can go. I don't get off and he starts getting mad and asking me if I want to drive the bus, and saying "look at his machine" that's on the bus. Some people have serious problems man...I don't even get his rage over a stupid bus ticket. Then I say ok, if it's not 1/2 Zone up there then I'll just slot my ticket again, what's the big deal right? He's really pissed by now, crazy freak.

Anyway, get to the stop - exactly, it says "1/2 Zones". Haha...I WIN - fucking loser. But some people really are sore losers. He goes "look at the MACHINE!" on his driver's side - , looking really mad, like he's going to piss his pants. Well fuck his machine aye? I'm a passenger, I look at the bus stop, and there's no machine telling me anything at the bus stop. Crazy bastard - he needs therapy. Such a sore loser that he even threatened never to let me on "his" bus again. Hello...that bus belong to Translink? Loser.

Pity, pity...dear God please help these people before they go completely insane and go on a shooting rampage.

I've also realized something. Legal rights are so important, but are too often taken for granted. You never realize it until someone tries to take it away for you. For instance - crazy bus driver says to never let me on "his" bus again. It's public transport and I have not done anything wrong, does he have a legal right to do that?

I am also aware that it would be wrong to generalize all bus drivers as mean - although I can't speak for the majority. There are the few nice drivers out there who deserve kudos. And for others, they deserve anger management classes with Jack Nicholson.

    Proof I am right:

    dumb dumb

    http://subservientchicken.com/

Easily one of the weirdest websites I've seen. So dumb. Try "stand on your head" cuz the chicken can't. Haha... any silly suggestions that actually work?

and I had a pizza yesterday which had bananas on it. There's a first for everything.

    Lord of the rings

I promised myself I wouldn't be spending all this time doing nothing...but then again LOTR is a pretty amazing movie.
LOTR: Return of the King was on free TV last night. And it showed from 8.30 to 12.30! crazy? indeed...just glad I only watched after 10pm...which made it seem like a normal length movie...

My all-time favourite battle scene in the whole freakin' world - Eowyn defending her beloved uncle Theoden from the Witch King of Angmar --- watch it here!
For full effect pump up the volume and go full screen.

Maybe cuz I love rooting for the underdog..."I am no man"...woohoo! You got that right.

And if you're a LOTR geek who has 9 minutes to spare - here's the lead up to that great scene (Charge of the Rohirrim). Eowyn and Merry rock!
Boy I love that story...too bad you really can't relive the feeling of watching the movie or reading the book for the first time.

But please be mindful, all this battle and violence has no bearing at all on my beliefs. In my opinion, battles against good and evil (or of any kind) should be left to fiction and not the real world. Unfortunately, it's not as easy to say "you're the bad guy, we're gonna beat you down". There's no good guy or bad guy most of the time - just conflicts of interests. We're all selfish aren't we?

And the scenes do not say much about my strong belief against cruelty to animals. But my justification is it's all fake - no giant elephants had to have their legs speared and no Nazgul (if u can call that an animal) had their head chopped off.

Aargh...study! 23 days till exam aaa...."somebody save me..." I used to like Smallville but it's rubbed off...

    My Passion?

This post is abit crappy (literally)...so stop reading now if you're multitasking by browsing and eating your lunch.

I was taking a crap, and I was really 'pushing it' if you get my drift. So much so that I place my hand on my tummy, and can feel my stomach muscles and stuff. And I think: "wow...is that how singers feel like when they're belting out beautiful melodies and are so into it that they have to put their hands on their stomachs?"

There is a point to this. Except I have drawn a very bad analogy. Singers' beautiful voices come out from the opposite end...as opposed to crap. Haha…this is really bad.

Anyway - I really really wish I had the slightest musical inclination. More so after watching Tegan and Sara's DVD on the making of their newest album, The Con. Of course we learned how to play the recorder in primary school but that doesn't count. Hmm...I took piano lessons until I was about five. Tinkered around with my dads guitar and that's about it.

Wouldn't it be awesome to be able to play and make other people feel really good about it? I wonder how that would feel like. Must be amazing.

I guess I'm not completely uncreative. I mean I can do stuff with my hands in terms of visual arts, painting and what not. I love basketball. I really enjoy Scuba diving. Still, I always have this feeling that I could know more things, that I'm missing out etc etc...the list could go on forever. It's almost like I wish there were multiple 'me's so I didn't have to miss out and I got to do everything before I had to grow old and die.

The problem - either I don't have enough time, or I don't have enough dedication to one thing to learn about whatever it is that catches my interest properly.
It's like I'm an amateur at a number of things. Jack of all trades but master of none? Not really all trades in any case. Just dabbing my finger in this…then that. Or maybe it’s just a process of finding what I really wanna do. Something I’ll be really passionate about.
Or...God forbid, I'm just a passionless person who just likes stuff but doesn't love anything. I sure as hell hope not.

If I’m still dabbing, then I guess I haven’t found it yet.

Random update: This point in time - It's past 2am and I'm wide awake. That's cuz I was so tired after basketball I slept from 7pm to midnight. I should be studying but I'm mucking around with deviantart, facebook, this...Ok I'll be studying now...

    Germany retains the World Cup

    Germany 2 - 0 Brazil
The most exciting football game since I can remember (not that I have seen too many). Not purporting to be a football expert, I thought the German goalie, Nadine Angerer did an amazing job. Great game...deserved a lot more publicity than it did.

Read about the game on ESPN Soccernet.

Watch the highlights on  ESPN Video beta.

These women have amazing skills. The Brazilians (most notably Marta) have amazing skills. This YouTube video of the semifinal match against US says it all. Brazil 4 - 0 US.

Despite having such formidable opponents, the Matildas did a pretty good job, respectably losing 3 -2 to Brazil. The highlights on FoxSports.

This is the 1st time I've seen the Women's World Cup. Probably never shown on regular M'sian TV. I'll certainly keep an eye out for the next one.
