Ok ok...I know he's not real, he's just a character. And real barristers probably don't argue their points in court like that. It'd be a safer bet to say it was more like those boring I'm-so-serious-I'm-a-lawyer shows. Still...my ultimate favourite legal series: Boston Legal. Ooo...Shirley Schmidt's character rocks too...

I am soooooo happy! I got myself a pair of rats! They're only 5 weeks old and they're so cute. Not that they're actually small-cute. Just cute. 5 weeks and bigger than my previous full grown mice. Just wait till they're full grown...hehe...

 

So how'd this come about? Thank God for the internet. That's how I found Lou from the Brisbane Rodent Rescue. It's just incredible what she's doing. Don't know if I've got the number right, but I think she had more than 30 rats in her own home when I popped in. 30! But they didn't stink or anything, which shows 2 things: 1. she's good at it, 2. rat's aren't smelly. I guess you'd have to have a heart of gold to do that. She also had a greyhound which was rescued from a cruel owner. He actually shot her because she could no longer race. Lou showed me the scar. Poor girl.....

Anyway, from the number of rats there I was pretty much at a lost of who to pick. Well Lou picked a nice red-eyed silver fawn buck. "He's gonna be a pretty one," she said. Myself...I picked a dark eyed darkish fella, apparently called a mink self buck. Most of the rats were red eyed so it was pretty easy to pick him out. Besides the pair of rats, she gave me a cage, bottle, bedding, a fleecy sack, a hammock, food, food bowls...all the stuff I needed to start out. Yeah, pretty much everything.  

 

So that's how it all came about. Had to catch a cab home, no animals allowed on buses. I hope these guys like they're new home.
