I HATE ASSIGNMENTS! I HATE ASSIGNMENTS! I HATE ASSIGNMENTS!

Hate's a strong word...I know. But they're making me sick at the moment. Not a moments rest...they're always nagging at the back of my head...like those spoilt brats tugging at they're mommy's clothes going "I want lollies..." Yeah...as sickening as that. Give me an exam any day. Compared to this...I'd say I love exams.

I can't wait till week 9. All 3 assignments due in the same week. Great. Get all this crap of my chest. Can a full-time student work more that 10 hours a week and maintain they're GPA? I have to....I really do...

How ironic...The Fray's Over my head is playing on the radio. I'm not! I'm not in over my head damnit!

    A plan

I like to have a plan for myself. For instance, on this very day 10 years from now I plan to be on a cruise ship half way around the world, sitting on a beach chair, sipping a pina colada and eating double brie on crispbread. har har...laugh. It's not as far-fetched and fanciful as you think.

Anyway...I'm not that ignorant about life. I know it doesn't work that way. But plans are good, y'know? It keeps you on track, keeps your mind straight even though it may not always work out as you plan it.

Isn't it enough to know that God has a plan for us?

EKKA 2006 - Fresh: As you like

Yeah...fresh for me cuz it's my first. But it was good, I had a good time. Spent quite a bit...but once a year mah. And I almost spent 12 hours there man...bout...10am to 10pm!

1st thing: played this funfair game and then found out their dirty trick of making you think your ball can actually stay in the bucket.

2nd: go on a ride that was fun from the beginning till the middle but then went on too long until it made you wanna puke. Crazy ride...woulda loved it if it weren't for the length.

After was more fun. Had a steak and onion sandwich, had a really cool strawberry ice-cream: real strawberries hidden in the cone and one on top with whipped cream! Yum! There was this International Food something something...expensive. Would you buy 2 sticks of satay with some rice for rm20? Hehe...it was going for A$8. Man...cannot possibly bring myself to buy that. I'll have a mountain of satay when I get back... My dinner was a dagwood dog. Another 1st-timer.

Took a look at the cows parading around. Huge cows and bulls man. And cute calves too. And pigs! A huge mommy pig (what's that name...) and her little piglets! So cute! Mommy wasa bit grumpy though...poor piglets. They had this special pen where they could escape from her. Saw a dog show...beautiful dogs! Stroked a very very gorgeous retriever called Piper. She was sooo beautiful! There were all sorts...german shepards, poodles, pugs, border collies...some I have no idea what they're called.

Did some food and wine tasting. Red wine, white wine, irish cream, yoghurt, nuts, olives, cheeses, spiced chicken, beef jerky, a whole range of chilli dips, chocolate fudge, cappucino...... I ended up buying a cheese showbag, a box of the cappucino mix, cinnamon and aussie-mix spices, and a bottle of red wine. In the Pink Chamboursin Rose! Nice stuff...

What else did I do....let me think...EVERMORE!!! My first rock concert?!

This was cool. Except that we had to wait ages and ages...Andrew Morris was alright, but then...
Evermore only did It's Too Late and Running at the end. And it was cold. Was worth it anyway. I love live performances. Nothing like the real thing.

    Red capsicums

Red capsicums are great with pasta. Did you know that? They're sweet. Well, yeah... And I friggin spent $2.70 on one! Just looking at my receipt at home bah...eating healthy is expensive.

Been trying stuff I haven't before (as in usually not found in KK). There's food: cinnamon doughnuts, cinnamon flavoured gelato (ok, i guess I like cinnamon), vienna coffee, "home-made" rice pudding, english muffins, crumpets, scones...and seeing different people such as buskers, some singing and playing instruments but others just doing all sorts of weird stuff. Like today a Charlie Chaplin impersonator - funny! Got a pic of him...haha...
    I like new things...

    Yeah...and new job:
Human meat pounder and breader in the morning; rice-box washer, ramen and udon maker by afternoon. Make sense? And sometimes I do terudon too...

And was so tempted to get a fedora in citybeach today...20 bucks...$$$ is sooo not funny....

Yay...to the EKKA tomorrow!...we're still going eventhough so far people have said it's nothing special. 15 for entry and still more for rides...gosh. But Evermore's gonna be there! All the reason to go.

    Ice-skating

Ice skating was fun yesterday. Too bad they had to close so early - 3pm. Hadn't had our fill yet. JC and JN were really really good at it even though it was their first time. But they already had practice with roller blades so not exactly newbies.  As for me...my balance is only so-so...but I still managed to get a hang of it after awhile. My ass is gonna be sore today...fell 3 times! Most of the time, it was cuz it's so hard to brake.

There was once they cleared the rink for some kind of tag game...really cool. It was just so awesome to watch those people who were good at it chasing each other round n round. Oh man...'si fu'!!! Yeah! Have to go again! $14 bye bye~!! All in the name of FUN!

Dinner at uncle JH's was very nice. He and his wife made a really delicious dinner - sui jiao, yum! Missed that so much. Also tried some of his traditional chinese wine...45% alcohol v/v! The highest i've ever tried i think. Burns when it goes down. Was supposed to be karaoke night - but the latest songs they had were from the 90's and they were all in chinese. Seeeing as the bunch of us were relatively young "bananas" (as in yellow on the outside white on the inside) we had no clue how to sing those. We ended up watching the 2004 Eurovision song contest which was really interesting. They actually liked it so much that they bought the CD's. You can watch it for free in SBS. Europe's very pretty. Would like to visit someday.

To lawyer or not to lawyer...

It's past 1am and I'm still working on my Research Record. Not that it's due...I just need to work on it. Hai...alot of research assignments this sem. Purportedly the most important skill I'll learn thoughout my law degree. According to my lecturer who teaches the unit...hah. Anyway, probably true. Lawyers don't lie. HAHA

Now...a question comes to mind. Will I make a good lawyer? Of course different people will have a different idea of what's a 'good lawyer'. There are so many stereotypes about lawyers that I won't even go there...or more so, lawyer jokes. Well, I don't know about lawyers...but there sure is a diverse range of students. I digress...

Good lawyer. I don't even know if I'll actually be A lawyer. I hope to though...if it's for me la. If not then not, no can do.
